We kept on going up the canyon, with the creek on our right and the hillside to the left. The quick temperature drop after the weeks of warm weather created the perfect amount of ice on the creek. At one particular stop my roommate asked me what I saw, and I said “the patterns in the ice.” The water hadn’t frozen all the way creating channels and lines through the ice. It’s a really cool feature in the streams.
Now the really fun part of going out shooting around town is all the funny looks for people passing by. Standing there by the side of the road looking down in the creek with a 70-200, well needless to say the drivers were curious.
