This past week brought the tail end of a huge storm that passed across the western half of the United States and that tail end brought snow and wind for us. Friday saw the last of it leading into a beautiful weekend of sunshine and thin clouds. It was the perfect time to be out hiking. I can’t say that I do a lot of hiking these days, walking up that mountain I could certainly feel it, but the view and fun times was well worth it.
Hiking is always more fun with a friend and this case is no difference, especially since Anne had never been to Montana before, and Alex had been indoors too much lately. With that in mind I had to have my camera with me. Both shots were taken with the D4 and 24-70 AF-S. I closed down to bring out the starburst in the sun so it wasn’t just a bright spot. Beyond that it was just a matter of walking around and having fun. It’s a good thing to do this holiday week.
