With the release of the D5 and D500 comes the inevitable file size increase. As technology grows so does the need to store those files. For years I’ve used Buffalo Ministation hardrives and I just got a new one to upgrade one of my travel drives. These little guys are great. 2TB, Thunderbolt, USB 3.0 and if ever a problem I can get it replaced through Buffalo’s warranty program. Although that’s only happened to me once, it’s nice to have that option. Now this particular drive is going to be used for one specific purpose and that’s too be my portable gallery drive. Whenever I travel I always have those finished images with me just in case I need to send one off to an editor. If they have to wait they’ll go somewhere else. In this business you have to be fast and being prepared with all your images is necessary.
