I know just about everyone says that their state gets the best thunderstorms but I do love them here in Montana. This day started out crystal clear and by the end of the afternoon we head one massive thunderhead smack dab above us. Thankfully we didn’t get any lightning which was good considering all of us were using carbon fiber fly rods.
Now I don’t know why this cloud wasn’t moving out faster but it hung in that spot for a long time and the light it was producing was just spectacular! I have never seen nor photographed anything quite like it before. I was wishing I had my 18-35mm with me but made do with the 24-70 AF-S. This was a quick click with not really any processing afterwards.
