We all have an alarm clock we use to get up by, some are more interesting than others, mine is nothing more than my iPhone. Well today at about 9:30 Mountain time a rather familiar sound got my attention. Having just moved I am still not used to some of the surrounding area. I am now surrounded by more farm land which is nice and quiet but apparently there happens to be a crop sprayer nearby. At first it was just the sound of a prop plane going overhead, then it got louder, and then it wouldn’t stop. I looked out my bedroom window and saw this guy going up down the field. I just started laughing and got the camera.
As it turned out he was spraying the area right behind my apartment by a horse ranch. After pulling the screen out of my window, grabbing the 200-400 out of the office, my roommate and I photographed the AgCad make pass after pass over the farm. It was a ton fun to watch. He kept going lower and lower, same line each time. We wondered if he could see us with the lenses sticking out of the window and what he must have thought we were doing. Whatever those thoughts might have been, they didn’t seem to bother him because he stuck around for about a half hour just doing his thing.
