The Shark Jaws

The P40’s always had a great look to them, combined with their history when WWI brook out made them a really great plane. When i first saw the shark jaws on a P40 at the Reno Air Races i was stunned. It looked awesome and terrifying at the same time. It wasn’t until just recently that i learned that the jaws were part of a divison of P40s called the Flying Tigers in that fought in China. It definitely makes for one great looking plane, like the jaws themselves will chomp down on you.

As we were leaving the yard heading for the conference area to here the speakers form the Bomber division, i noticed one of the tugs had a unique characteristic to it. After a fresh paint job the the tug was outfitted with its own set of jaws. The Bad ass tug that commanded the yard.
