Steering Forward

I always liked this shot because it shows the difference between light and contrast so well. This was taken a year ago and the morning we went out we had cloud cover. Well that cloud cover made for some nice shadows on the ground. This Steerman has such a vibrant paint job that it just screams out against a dark background. Now that wouldn’t be there if the plan is also in shadow. If we had moved the plan ten feet to it’s right, it would be a very boring shot due to it completely being in shadow. It takes very little to make a big difference.
