After quite a bit of fun photographing the Bridger’s in the fading afternoon light, I packed up and slowly moved on down the road. As I was just about to the pavement I passed over a little creek and when I looked down this Muskrat was busy standing there in the creek. I pulled over and got the six out, knowing it was dark, but it was fun to watch him for a few moments. He was busy cleaning his fur, after all it’s important for him to keep the oils in his coat cleaned so that he stays waterproof.

After a few minutes he went swimming away and I drove off. It’s nice to enjoy those simple wildlife moments.
