A few years back when Dad and I were getting started in Aviation, we met a group of individuals that had such a passion for flying and preserving the history of flight that they have become family. The Texas Flying Legends Museum, based out of Ellington Field, Wiscasset MN, and Minot ND, is home to some amazing WWII aircraft each one having its own unique story. But the museum is more then just great planes and if you ask the pilots, it’s never been about the planes or even themselves. It has always been about the men and women that flew the planes and keeping their memory alive for today’s and future generations.

The pilots always call themselves caretakers. They aren’t there for praise but to protect the planes and to fly the planes so that all can enjoy them. The job is simple to keep the history alive.
